When most people think of balance, they imagine standing on one foot or avoiding a fall. But from a Feldenkrais® perspective, balance is something much more dynamic. It's the ongoing ability to sense ourselves, respond to changing conditions, and organize our movement with ease.
Good balance isn't about holding ourselves rigidly upright. In fact, balance depends on subtle, continuous adjustments throughout the whole body. The more clearly we sense these adjustments, the more confident and stable we become.
In our upcoming Balance series, we'll explore gentle movement lessons that help improve awareness, coordination, and adaptability. You'll discover how balance can become less about effort and more about responsiveness—whether you're walking, reaching, turning, or simply moving through daily life.
Join us and experience how greater awareness can lead to greater stability, comfort, and confidence.
